As you might know, the search target in ${PORTSDIR}/Mk/bsd.port.subdir.mk
has been somewhat extended, it now provides more than just name=string
or key=string, you can search on key, name, path, info, bdeps, and rdeps
individually (using EREs), perform negative searches, control case
sensitivity, fields to display in the result, and the scope of the key
parameter.

I'm looking for someone who is willing to document the new capabilities
by writing something for the handbook, ports(7), and the usage message
in bsd.port.subdir.mk. I honestly tried to write something up, but
failed to produce anything reasonable.

If you want to give it a try, there's a few examples you could perhaps
base the text(s) on in the ports' CHANGES file, see
http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/cvsweb.cgi/ports/CHANGES.diff?r1=1.18&r2=1.19

Thanks,
Roman Neuhauser
