Up to now I've never been in any way critical. I think you need to separate what gets posted by random people at freebsd.org (which has literally hundreds of accounts on it) from "official project opinion", something which was in no way demonstrated by Mr. Obrien's somewhat intemperate comments on the mailing list (and for which he will be duly spanked). I think I speak for all of us when I say that we respect what NetBSD has done in porting BSD to every platform under the sun (no pun intended) and we'd never judge an entire architecture port simply based on a new and experimental installer. I also won't say that this will never happen again since we just don't have that much control over our developers (nor, I believe, do any of the various OS projects) but you may take it as read that none of the people "in power" in FreeBSD have any desire to foster poor relations by badmouthing the others; there's been far too much of that already. Please accept our apologies for this latest outburst. Regards, - Jordan To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-sparc" in the body of the message
