The program having the problem is bitlbee, which starts, but doesn't let you connect. bash-2.05$ telnet localhost 6667 Trying 127.0.0.1. Connected to 127.0.0.1 Escape character is '^]'. /usr/libexec/ld-elf.so.1: Shared object "libglib12.so.3" not found Connection closed by foreign host. I checked ldconfig: bash-2.05a# ldconfig -r | grep glib 110:-lglib-2.0.200 => /usr/local/lib/libglib-2.0.so.200 115:-lglib-1.2.0 => /usr/local/lib/libglib-1.2.so.0 bash-2.05a# ls -l /usr/local/lib/libglib12.so.3 -rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 162897 Nov 30 02:47 /usr/local/lib/libglib12.so.3 However, if I reinstall the port, it works: bash-2.05a# make install | more ===> Installing for glib-1.2.10_10 ===> glib-1.2.10_10 depends on executable: pkg-config - found ...[snip]... ===> Running ldconfig /sbin/ldconfig -m /usr/local/lib ===> Registering installation for glib-1.2.10_10 bash-2.05a# telnet localhost 6667 Trying 127.0.0.1... Connected to localhost. Escape character is '^]'. :localhost NOTICE AUTH :BitlBee-IRCd initialized, please go on I have /usr/local/lib/ in /etc/ld.so.conf, and I added it to /etc/ld-elf.so.conf, but the problem still occurs every time. Has anyone run into something like this before? Thanks in advance.
