Hello Jason.. solution: Make sure your modem has a cable with pin 20 (modem side) controlled by the FreeBSD and your modem configure to disconnect when DTR (pin 20) is low. On a hayes compatible modem... command AT&d1 is what you need take a look also on the dtr override dip switch configuration (if any) on the modem. Sergio Lenzi. Unix consult.
