I am trying to test smtp port 25 on a remote system using BigBrother. I am unable to get my 2 freebsd system to connect to this or any other system on port 25. I can connect from a windows system on my same private network. I can connect to both freebsd systems running sendmail on port 25 by telnet from windows. I have tried connecting between the 2 freebsd systems with telnet on port 25 and it is refused. I can connect to all systems I have tried from windows on port 25, so I know it should work. I have tried sending email using sendmail and that fails also. Is there something broken in freebsd that would cause all port 25 traffic to fail going out of the systems? I have a dsl modem and a wireless router that my 2 freebsd systems and my windows system are directly plugged into.
