Hi! I have a wan in Sweden that is more than 2000 km long. And when I have problem i one part I have to go there white a sniffer. It taks lot of time for me. And I dont like to get up in the north (1200km form here) as they had -49.6 C last week and NO sun.:-(it came this week) I found out that I can have a bootfloppy and a ramdisk. Send it out as a images and rawrite using ftp. Ask some one to boot it up on a PC that has a 3C50x card. Connect to it using ssh. Start the commando nohup tcpdump -w - |gzip -9 >dump.file.gz & logout. After some time I can use the scp and get the file down here and analyze is here. Nice? So I trying to make a boot floppy that has tcpdump, gzip , nohup and sshd on. I av test it but it did not work form me. I do not understand how the picoBSD is made. I am using 2.2.6 FreeBSD on a laptop (3.x do not work on my lapptop) Also I will need 12-16 Mbyt ram-disk. If we get this working we vill save lot of time and $ for many... Have a nice day.
