The NCP specification (NetWare Core Protocol) is _VERY_ expensive, and not availible to the public domain; so if you're interested in file sharing above and beyond IPX/SPX -- you might be looking at a bad approach. You can get IPX/SPX specifications, and Sun, HP, and quite a few other Unix implementation have the transport. If you want to do file sharing from Unix to NetWare, I'm working on a SMB over TCP/IP module for NetWare servers -- this allows any client which has TCP/IP and can generate SMBs (Server Message Blocks) to communcate with the NetWare file system... probably be ready for beta by end of February. -Roger At 03:33 PM 1/12/95 IST, Ugen J.S.Antsilevich wrote: >1) Do anyone know of IPX description or implementation for UN*X >stuff to try to move it to FB? >2) Is this possible to get description of Novell file system and > how does it works?Where? >10x in advance for advice. >-- >-=Ugen J.S.Antsilevich=- >NetVision - Israeli Commercial Internet | Learning >E-mail: ugen@NetVision.net.il | To Fly.
