X-BeenThere: freebsd-current@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.1 Precedence: list List-Id: Discussions about the use of FreeBSD-current List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Sun, 10 Apr 2005 02:28:13 -0000 Hi, The manpage 'polling(4)' has this text: kern.polling.idle_poll Controls if polling is enabled in the idle loop. There are no reasons (other than power saving or bugs in the scheduler's handling of idle priority kernel threads) to disable this. Note that -CURRENT apparently has some problems in this respect now, so default is disabled. Is that still valid for present "-CURRENT" ? Or is the a left-over from a previous CURRENT state ?
