Changed a few things not *apparently* related to ppp, but now I'm getting a tun0 warning message "Deflink: /dev/cuaa1: Bad File Descriptor" and cannot access my modem (I guess that's cuaa1). HELP! Possibly related: my ISP supports CHAP & PAP. I was able to use ppp's dial command just once, and since then I have to use the term command. Until now. Please help.
