Are you using the port/package?  I recommend that as they are KNOWN to
work w/ FreeBSD.  It should be in /usr/ports/emulators/wine - cd to that
directory and type make install.

If you don't have the ports tree, you can grab it from ftp.freebsd.org:

	ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/emulators

or the package from:

	ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/packages/emulators
