Thanks for the hint. Setting "Bytecode" to "no" does the trick. Now version 0.96.2 runs without any problems on FreeBSD 7.1. But I don't consider this a "solution", it's a workaround to get things going again. Maybe the ClamAV people will provide a fix for this issue. Thanks - Frank
