Guys, I figured out what's wrong: the server needs to be start in up levels where base directory is the one that has a subdirectory named "sup". /usr/local/sbin/cvsupd -b /usr/CVSUp/cvsup_server/base instead: /usr/local/sbin/cvsupd -b test Thanks for the help Gary ;).
