I am emailing tis list with this issue because no one was able to help me=20
in Freebsd-questions and I was suggested to post here.
If you have any insight please email marcelo@msm.cl since I am not=20

---Forwarded mesage----
I have an intel mother board that comes with an adaptec AIC-7896 on-board=20
SCSI controllers which acording to the hardware list is part of the=20
supported hardware .
Yet, when I try to boot up with the install disks, I get the following loop=
=20
of messsages and I have no clue what they mean, what is wrong and how to=20
fix it.

Waiting for 15 seconds for SCSI devices to settle
(probe0:ahc1:0:2:1) Parity error during Command phase.
SEQADDR =3D=3D 0x15d
SCSIRATE =3D=3D 0x95
(probe0:ahc1:0:2:1) SCB 0xa - Timed out in a command phase SEQADDR =3D=3D=
 0x15d
(probe0:ahc1:0:2:1) BDR message in message buffer
(probe0:ahc1:0:2:1) SCB 0xa - Timed out in a command phase SEQADDR =3D=3D=
 0x15d
(probe0:ahc1:0:2:1) No longer in timeout, status =3D 34b
ahc1: Issued a channel bus reset. 1 SCBs aborted
(probe0:ahc1:0:2:1) Parity error during Command phase.
SEQADDR =3D=3D 0x15d
SCSIRATE =3D=3D 0x95
etc...
but it seems that the 1:0:2:1 is incrementing...

Any help is greatly apreciated.

Marcelo
