Warren, I was fighting this problem over the weekend. I have a network printer. I did a debug on the core dump and there was a some kind of cups library involved. I have WITHOUT_CUPS=YES in make.conf. I checked the installed ports and saw that cups-client was installed. I removed it and was able to print. YMMV Robert
