I recently discovered that there may be a benefit to running "svn cleanup" = even if nothing has gone obviously wrong: During a "make installkernel" for head/amd64 recently, there was an attempt to store more in /usr than would = fit. In a fit of desperation, I tried "svn cleanup" ... and recovered about 3.2 = GB (after which, re-starting "make installkernel" was successful).
