In the case you are not yet ready for the upgrades I think it will best =
to lock the packages or maintain a different repo and build your own =
pkgsets.

Additionally 5.7 was actually on extended support(official support ended =
in 2019/2020 and they dropped support for FreeBSD during those days) =
which ends in the end of this month. So we are more than sure that it =
won't survive next quarterly in the official tree.
