As a side note for anyone else who is reading... The Expert Mouse works just fine on my laptop (3.1-RELEASE) using "Auto" protocol only. Using ThinkingMouse does not work. When applied, it shows the middle button as constantly down. Auto works. I beginning to think its either the X server, or the hardware (or a bug in 3.1-RELEASE).
