You need access to /usr/X11R6/lib, or whereever you put the X stuff. This is setup in /etc/rc.config and /etc/rc. On my machine: # cd /etc # grep -i ldconfig rc* rc:echo 'setting ldconfig path:' ${_LDC} rc:ldconfig ${_LDC} # grep LDC rc* rc:_LDC=/usr/lib rc:if [ -d /usr/lib/compat ]; then _LDC="${_LDC} /usr/lib/compat" ; fi rc:if [ -d /usr/X11R6/lib ]; then _LDC="${_LDC} /usr/X11R6/lib" ; fi rc:if [ -d /usr/local/lib ]; then _LDC="${_LDC} /usr/local/lib" ; fi rc:echo 'setting ldconfig path:' ${_LDC} rc:ldconfig ${_LDC} tomdean
