Aloha, There's probably all manner of reasons why it's a bad thing to do, but if you install lang/gawk and then symlink /usr/bin/awk to it then you can get a valid package out of ruby at least. I'm working on the other ports now. btw, this is in CURRENT, 6.2 still gives me core dumps when compiling complex stuff. dave c
