On a Dell computer, 5.0 says: kernel: fdc0: <Enhanced floppy controller (i82077, NE72065 or clone)>... kernel: fdc0: FIFO enabled, 8 bytes threshold kernel: fd0: <1440-KB 3.5" drive> on fdc0 drive 0 On a similar computer, I boot the 5.0 CD to install. Messages like above display, so the kernel recognizes the floppy. But when I try to access floppy (for 'Load config'), I get: No floppy devices found! Please check that your system's configuration What can I do? -- Jacques Beigbeder | Jacques.Beigbeder@ens.fr Service de Prestations Informatiques | http://www.spi.ens.fr Ecole normale supérieure | 45 rue d'Ulm |Tel : (+33 1)1 44 32 37 96 F75230 Paris cedex 05 |Fax : (+33 1)1 44 32 20 75
