(1600x1200 would be really nice) * 16 M video ram * LS120 Basically, I need a new laptop for school/work/home entertainment. I'll be running -stable, XEmacs, apsfilter and Divx :-) Thats about it. I have considered Gateway 9xxx, Dell Inspiron 5000x, M-Tech and others. It comes down to be ~ $3000. Blah, blah blah ... here is my question. 2 of them: 1) Do guys think getting an extended warranty / service plans is a good idea? 2) Has anyone (used_one || needed_one) before? 3) Has anyone (used_one && needed_one) before? 4) What machine would you recommend?
