Hi!

I'm experiencing a strange problem with mpd 3.8.

I've installed it on a FreeBSD 4.6-p1 box as a pptp MS compatible
server to allow Windows clients to connect to our internal LAN.

Connection and authentication seems ok, but when I do some "big"
transfer the session locks.

Client is a WinXP Pro machine.
(I'll try also with a W2K and W98 boxes a.s.a.p.)

Example, using WinXP's telnet client I successfully telnet into the
above FreeBSD, but if I do "ls" into a "big" directory, or a simple "ps
ax" or "top" the telnet session hangs. It works if I do a "w" or "ls"
into short directories.

I guess is not a telnet client issue since I tried also with PuTTY and
Telnet98 and both have the problem.

Interface ng0 on server reports a MTU of 1498 but I think this problem
is symptom of a MTU/MRU discrepancy problem...

If I connect to the server from another FreeBSD with "pptpclient" it
works fine.

Is this a FAQ ?
Have someone an hint ?

much-detailed mpd log file available on request ;)

Hoping in your kind answer :-)

Many many thanks in advance!
