The simplest is probably mpg123, which is a very light console MP3 player (i use it all the time). You can download and install it via the ports collection by su'ing to root and typing: # cd /usr/ports/audio/mpg123 # make install As for BitchX, you should be able to start it by typing `BitchX' (note the caps). > i was wondering if u guys could show me where i can learn some good > commands=20 Well, that depends a great deal on what you want to do. :-) It's highly recommended to start by reading the FreeBSD handbook, which should be installed locally on your system: $ lynx file://localhost/usr/share/doc/handbook/basics.html Specifically, you might find this chapter useful: $ lynx file://localhost/usr/share/doc/handbook/basics.html > and how yo do normal commnads in linux. I'm not sure i understand what you're asking here. --=20 Piet Delport Today's subliminal thought is: --RnlQjJ0d97Da+TV1 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (FreeBSD) iD4DBQE7r3LizRUP82sZFCcRAqfQAJ49V7y/N1/C5S9bnZd7oaXllKl4mQCVF4VY 5L1QbTYtz+jcqrNoGG3j2w== =BIhV -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --RnlQjJ0d97Da+TV1-- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-newbies" in the body of the message
