PLEASE DON'T USE ENCLOSURE MACROS LIKE .Pq FOR PLAIN TEXT! In the past (before -mdocNG), all enclosure macros had a problem with the size of enclosing text, and this has since been fixed. So this is no longer the case. But the following still applies. With -mdocNG, the use of almost any -mdoc macro intentionally prevents hyphenation in its arguments. Compare these: .Po Hostnames are domains, where a domain is a hierarchical, dot-separated list of subdomains; for example, the machine monet, in the Berkeley subdomain of the EDU subdomain of the Internet would be represented as .Pc .Pp (Hostnames are domains, where a domain is a hierarchical, dot-separated list of subdomains; for example, the machine monet, in the Berkeley subdomain of the EDU subdomain of the Internet would be represented as) Also, the use of macros increases the processing time. IOW, the .Pq created by Xr sysinstall 8 should be written like (created by .Xr sysinstall 8 ) Cheers, -- Ruslan Ermilov Oracle Developer/DBA, ru@sunbay.com Sunbay Software AG, ru@FreeBSD.org FreeBSD committer, +380.652.512.251 Simferopol, Ukraine http://www.FreeBSD.org The Power To Serve http://www.oracle.com Enabling The Information Age To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe cvs-all" in the body of the message
