Understood, I imagined the process is different between VMs and Dedicated. We'll continue provisioning the old-fashion way via rescue + qemu, then. It's just so flaky and time-wasting. Unfortunately Hetzner no longer offers root servers with a FreeBSD rescue system. The recommended way is to rent an USB stick (2 Euro/month), and use the USB stick as install or rescue media via KVM.
