I've a #9 I128 card on one system and a Virge DX board on another system and use the corresponding servers. Now there are some strange problems I *never* observed before. For example: I start the server by startx and cannot start netscape (says `bad atom' or `invalid window parameter' (twm, olwm or qvwm make no difference - seems to be independent of window manager). With a little bit luck after starting X a few times I may get a situtation where it works. In any case, starting xprop and pointing to the root window always gives me `bad atom' or `invalid window parameter' message. I like to use the Magic Cookies for client authentification. After generating a cookie with xauth it will work for a while, but after a few hours the server begins to deny access. I've to generate a new cookie. In general, the problems are worse with the I128 card. I'm interested in other peoples experiences with FreeBSD and XFree 3.3.2. Maybe someone already knows about bugs in XFree 3.3.2?
