I wasn't able to get mod_rewrite to perform anything like this module. Using this module for example, http://localhost/?_URL=http://www.slashdot.org&key=value will be rewritten as http://www.slashdot.org?key=value. The only thing that the web administrator has to add to their httpd.conf is "AddHandler relocate .relo". I think that there is a point to this port. I have found it useful.
