User-Agent: tin/1.5.4-20000523 ("1959") (UNIX) (FreeBSD/4.6-STABLE (i386)) MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Sender: owner-freebsd-stable@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk List-ID: List-Archive: (Web Archive) List-Help: (List Instructions) List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG Hi, There seems to be a limit on the length of mounts, which is apparently 80 characters on i386 machines (and even only 64 characters on alpha machines). However, I need to be able to use NFS mounts that are longer than that. What do I have to do to increase that limit? I've searched the list archives, but haven't found a useful answer. I've also tried to change the MNAMELEN value in sys/mount.h and recompile the system, but got panics right from the start. So I guess my attempt was probably a bit naive, and I forgot something important. Any assistance would be very welcome -- thanks in advance!
