Oh ... OK, after reading through bsd.port.mk I see it ...

Hmmmm. I saw a bunch of that crap too ... I did install the big XFree86-4 port
just prior to nuking and re-installing everything. I "re-adjusted" many of the
dependencies found by "pkgdb -F" from XFree86-4-libaries -> XFree86-4.

I just didn't want to bring this one up as well because I didn't have good
"cut-n-paste" text to accompany the behavior, but it explains it now that I've
read through bsd.port.mk a bit ....

Hmmmm.... yeah, I'm tending to agree with you there .... I'll take your advice
and install the individual pieces and see how that clears up things.
