Unfortunately there's little to no development effort on FreeBSD/sparc64 and you might not get a response that's useful in addressing this issue. As it stands sparc64 will not be supported in FreeBSD 13 and later. My suggestion is to try FreeBSD 11.x and if that works for you stay with it. Longer term you probably want to either migrate to FreeBSD on another CPU architecture, or to another operating system if you want to continue using this hardware. I'm sorry that I don't have any more helpful information.
