I tried to read the content of a CD on FreeBSD 4.5 -release and got the following error: dell# dd if=/dev/acd0c of=diskfile bs=2k dd: /dev/acd0c: Input/output error 121311+0 records in 121311+0 records out 248444928 bytes transferred in 120.239987 secs (2066242 bytes/sec) dell# Jun 26 18:47:07 dell /kernel: acd0: READ_BIG - ILLEGAL REQUEST asc=64 ascq=00 error=01 Jun 26 18:47:07 dell /kernel: acd0: READ_BIG - ILLEGAL REQUEST asc=64 ascq=00 error=01 What are the possible reasons for this?
