This has been a small upproar lately. The anti-spam rules on hub.freebsd.org have been tightened. If your sendmail is reporting itself that does not reverse DNS properly, it will not accept the e-mail. Check in the FAQ for the section about setting up sendmail on a dialup machine. basically you're going to want to fix what sendmail reports itself as, or just relay through your isp's mail-relay. -Chris > -----Original Message----- > From: Shawn Workman [SMTP:sworkman@nidlink.com] > Sent: Sunday, July 25, 1999 4:47 AM > To: questions@freebsd.org > Subject: sendmail > > my sendmail box is acting weird, it will not let the FreeBSD lists be > delivered. > > maillog says stat=deferred. > > any info on this? > > please reply all because my mail list subscriptions are not getting > through to me.. > > Thanks in advance. > > > To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org > with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
