Alas I found out that the ID strings for nvidia chips have changed slightly from XFree86 3.3.3.1 to 3.3.4. Result: fallback to software rendering! Those who experiment with RIVA/GLX under XF 3.3.4 should patch their glx sources accordingly. So that means I should have a first 3.3.4 port ready tomorrow.
