Hi,

since i am being bitten by the same bug, i would like to try that out. I 
am not sure however, which version of vfs_lookup.c i should revert to 
and what other bugs would be reintroduced by that.
Our server has become really slow since the upgrade from 6.1-RC to 6.1, 
exactly as described on stable@.
