I have seen your CLAIMS that it happens. However, if your assertions are correct, then it would never be permissible to remove any tag. Since the cvs documentation has a number of references to doing just that, I find it hard to believe that it is not allowed within the cvs structure. I also have not had any difficulty in any of my testing. Will you supply the sequence that "hoses" CVS? I have also seen your assertion that branch tags are added to the src tree more than "once or twice a year". I cannot verify that either. Richard Wackerbarth
