I think that the cut over will happen after the compiler
no longer core dumps on:

	main()
	{
		int i;

		i = foo();

		switch( i) {
		default:
			printf( "hello, stupid compiler!\n");
			break;
		}
	}

	int
	foo()
	{
		return( 6);
	}
