[-- Attachment #1 --] Hello, When I installed FreeBSD 4.6 I opted for Linux compatibility to be installed. I was just wondering if anyone has had any problems with using the Linux port of SUN JDK/JRE 1.3 on a FreeBSD system. I have tried compiling some simple programs with it and with the exception of getting "expr: syntax error" whenever I run "java" or "javac" the programs run fine. I look forward following on from the recent announcement for a pure FreeBSD port of JDK 1.4 Regards Lee [-- Attachment #2 --] <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> <META content="MSHTML 6.00.2716.2200" name=GENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=#ffffff> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Hello,</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>When I installed FreeBSD 4.6 I opted for Linux compatibility to be installed.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I was just wondering if anyone has had any problems with using the Linux port of SUN JDK/JRE 1.3 on a FreeBSD system.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I have tried compiling some simple programs with it and with the exception of getting "expr: syntax error" whenever I run "java" or "javac" the programs run fine.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I look forward following on from the recent announcement for a pure FreeBSD port of JDK 1.4</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Regards</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Lee</FONT></DIV></BODY></HTML>
