I'm running freebsd 2.05 and have an Intel 28.8 internel installed installed on com3. 1st how do I tell if the computer is recognizing my modem as Actually being there? 2nd how do I enable the modem to dial out?( I tried At commands but it doesn't seem to recognize them. I would assume this is because it's not really talking to the modem yet.) 3rd how do I dial out?(again I tried setting At commands) I've been recomended to use kermit. Will this help me out? If you need more information on my set up please tell me. Any info or pointers to info would be greatly appreciated! Thanx Scott B.
