I think the daemon copyright notice should get a different background... I don't know which one, but the actual one seems wrong to me. The copyright doesn't fit into the "display start symbols" domain. What's the intend of the dark grey area? If it is just a design detail, what about moving the copyright to the bottom, perhaps with a white/light grey background? Is it allowed to use an alpha channel in the splash screen (round edges)?
