The following reply was made to PR ports/97839; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Matthias Andree <matthias.andree@gmx.de> To: bug-followup@FreeBSD.org Cc: edwin@freebsd.org Subject: Re: ports/97839: [patch]news/leafnode+ Date: Thu, 25 May 2006 14:39:46 +0200 On Wed, 24 May 2006, Edwin Groothuis wrote: > Maintainer of news/leafnode, Edwin, I am maintaining news/leafnode, but not news/leafnode+ (which is unmaintained, ports@freebsd.org). The latter is a separate project that forked before I became the leafnode maintainer, and I have no opinion as to what will happen to the news/leafnode+ port, I don't know it enough. Some time ago, Kris Kennaway however recommended to people having issues with leafnode+ to use leafnode (sans +) instead, so perhaps you might want to ask Martin Wilke (the submitter) if he wants to take maintainership. Otherwise, perhaps discuss with portmgr@ if leafnode+ is to be marked deprecated and marked for removal July 31. > http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=ports/97839 Kind regards, -- Matthias Andree
