IDT is a company that makes various parts; they're up the street a bit from me, and were doing lots of MIPS stuff for a while. (I don't know if they still are.) Their x86 clone attracted a lot of attention because it is simple, yet manages to be fast. (Part of that is because they apparantly use the extra real-estate to put on lots of L1 cache.) As many may recall, I am not a fan of Intel right now, and assembled my new system to use as few Intel parts as possible. I've got a K6-200 in my system, and it works quite well, so far. As I said, it is not affected by this particular bug (although it does not execute the instruction correctly).
