I was told to reinstall everything since i've been hacked. Ultimately, I'm going to do that, but as a learning excercise, I wanted to install the security patch. I'm having some problems though. I ran the following steps: # cd /usr/src/ done # patch -p < /path/to/patch it says it can't find the patch... so I re-entered the line including the patch name... after I did this it asked what file it wanted patched. I wasn't able to enter the following two commands like the advisory stated: # cd /usr/src/libexec/telnetd # make depend && make all install Should I simply point it to /sbin/telnetd... or will that mess things up? __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
