Good day, I just learned that OpenSC 0.12.0, recently committed to ports is not compatible with openssh-portable 5.2. It requires at least 5.3. As a result, upgrading opensc is a serious problem for those of us depending on SmartCards for SSH keys. Could you mitigate this by: Adding a note to UPDATING that upgrading opensc will break integration with OpenSSH Restoring the openssh-portable port to its state before the OPENSC and OPENSCPINPATCH configuration options (along with the scardpin.patch file) were removed? Also, does anyone know if work is going on to port 5.3p1 or more recent? The current released version is 5.6p1. -- R. Kevin Oberman, Network Engineer Energy Sciences Network (ESnet) Ernest O.
