Do you think, the problem is more like in librsvg2? Because, the 
gnome-themes-extras hasn't been update since 2003 and it works perfect 
with GNOME 2.4.x to 2.5.90 or 2.5.91.. It started to get crash with GNOME 
2.5.92.
