I hate to say it, but I really don't know what the various types of SCSI are :( These are the drives I'm running right now. They all come up as SCSI-2, but that's about the only information that I have on them...will they support Fast/Wide? If not, is there another NCR PCI SCSI controller that I can use that will support these drives? Right now, I'm hanging off of an Adaptec 1542 controller... Then again, am I reading "Fast/Wide" wrong? Should I be reading it as "Fast *or* Wide"? Cause, looking at Quantum's Home Page, the LPS340S supports Fast, but it doesn't mentioned Wide.. (aha0:0:0): "QUANTUM LPS340S 020B" type 0 fixed SCSI 2 sd0(aha0:0:0): Direct-Access 327MB (670506 512 byte sectors) (aha0:2:0): "CONNER CFA540S 13B0" type 0 fixed SCSI 2 sd1(aha0:2:0): Direct-Access 515MB (1056708 512 byte sectors) (aha0:6:0): "QUANTUM LP240S GM240S01X 4.6" type 0 fixed SCSI 2 sd2(aha0:6:0): Direct-Access 234MB (479350 512 byte sectors) And, finally...is there anyone out there from the Toronto area that would know where I can find said controller? I'd prefer somewhere local, if at all possible... Thanks... Marc G.
