Subject: top "nice" CPU usage %

Hello,

I've been through man pages, web sites, and am slowly going nuts.

top(1) includes percentages for the four "processor states"; user,
nice, system, and idle. I know what three of them are, but what is
the "nice" state? I would guess ( and probably be wrong ) that it has
something to do with process nice/renice. Can anyone point me to a
description?

Thanks,
Michael
