DIST_SUBDIR has nothing to do with the upstream download location, but determines where the files are put locally when they are being downloaded (and obviously, where the ports system will try to extract the tarballs and read the patches from). Please check if your permissions are correctly set, for instance on /usr/ports/distfiles/bdb/... if you can't fetch. (Thanks for the Cc though.) -- Matthias Andree
