I'm over with TERMCAP_WINS hacks; the situation now is: -> pico *always* uses MDTCAPWINS ; '-q' doesn't change anything -> pine has a F_TURN_ON(F_TCAP_WINS,ps) in the code for "default settings"; this accomplishes 2 things: when running for the first time or when upgrading from an older version this flag is set on by default; the user can later disable TCAP_WINS by unselecting the flag "termdef-takes-precedense" in the configuration window.
