Bug 219509: editors/gedit: fails to remove the temporary file~
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D219509

--- Description ---
STR:
1. Open any text file using gedit.
2. Add something into it and hit ctrl+s to save the changes.

This results into file~ file getting created next to the file you edited.

3. Close gedit.

Actual Result:
file~ remains on file system.

Expected Result:
file~ should get deleted. This is a temporary file who's lifetime should ma=
tch
the lifetime of the editor's process.

Also, a separate issue that I don't want to report separately: if I run ged=
it
from terminal - I see that this message occurs:

(gedit:10884): Gtk-WARNING **: Calling org.xfce.Session.Manager.Inhibit fai=
led:
GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownMethod: Method "Inhibit" with
sign
ature "susu" on interface "org.xfce.Session.Manager" doesn't exist

when I type just the first char. I don't know if that is related.

freebsd 11.0-RELEASE-p9
gedit-3.22.0, probably also happens with older versions
I also have gedit-plugins-3.18.0 and these plugins are enabled: Bookmarks,
Document Statistics, File Browser Panel, Insert Date/Time, Modelines, Sort,
Spell Checker, Word Completion.
