I'm having an xemacs problem. Whenver I delete something
(e.g. control-k to kill a line), this type of stuff spews into my
terminal window:

I've found mention of stuff like this being caused by trying to work
with X's selections, but nothing obvious.
It only happens when I run that xemacs on that X server. ssh -Y'ing
into an older machine (either 5.3 or 5.3BETA4) and running the older
version of xemacs there (xemacs 21.4 patch 15 or 16) works. ssh
-Y'ing into my 5.4-STABLE machine and running the 5.4-STABLE xemacs
also works.
I'm running xorg 6.8.2 and gnome from ports on a Matrox G550 dual head
with a mga_drv.o and mga_hal_drv.o from their mgadriver-4.1 package.
The system is a recent 5.4-STABLE and my ports tree is about a week
old.
Here's my uname output.
